Have the Summer of a Lifetime at YMCA Camp Pinewood
Register
Whether you’re interested in fun daytime activities, the stories over campfires, or a full nature-immersion, YMCA Camp Pinewood is for you! Here, we have endless opportunities for individuals, families, and groups to share new experiences, spend quality time together, and create lasting memories.
A Day in the Life of a Camper
YMCA Camp Pinewood is the place to be this summer. Grab your family (or friends!) and head out for a hike on one of our beautiful trails, plunge into Echo Lake, conquer the 40-foot climbing tower, hit your mark at archery, fly down the zip line, play a game on the ball field, or just enjoy the quiet beauty of the Manistee National Forest — and that’s only a few of our awesome activities!
The Fun Doesn’t Stop When the Sun Goes Down
With stunning night skies, it’s impossible to go to bed without appreciating the summer evenings. Take a night hike led by our friendly staff, lay out and gaze through light-years of stars, or end the day with campfire performances by fellow campers.

Camp Pinewood supplies equipment for all of our activities. However, guests are welcome to bring their own for some activities.
Guests can bring their own fishing rods and tackle, but we do not permit guests to bring their own watercraft (canoes, paddle boards, kayaks, fishing boats, etc.).
Guests can bring their own longbow or recurve bow for archery, which must be securely locked when not at the range. Guests are required to follow all Camp Pinewood rules, including only using archery equipment when an instructor is present. All broadhead arrows and compound bows are not permitted.
If you have questions regarding other pieces of equipment, please email us before your visit! -
Camp Pinewood is for the entire family, including beloved furry friends! Dogs are permitted at camp for an additional fee of $100. They must be fully vaccinated, friendly, and well-behaved. Dogs must be on-leash at all times and are not permitted at activity sites. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs, both inside and out of the cabins and lodges.

Camp Pinewood’s waterfront will be open during designated times throughout each day. A YMCA lifeguard must be on duty for guests to participate in any aquatic activities. If no lifeguard is present, the waterfront is closed, and guests are welcome to enjoy other areas of the camp!
Swimming and canoeing are generally not open at the same time. If canoeing is in session, the swimming area will be closed, and vice versa. -
Camp Pinewood does not allow alcohol on site. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only.
-
Financial assistance, to the extent possible, is made available through the generosity of our supporters and donors. Awards are based on the number of people in your household and your total household income. If interested, fill out the Financial Assistance Application and submit it with your camper’s registration form. The minimum deposit payment for the chosen program is required.
-
Cancellation refunds will be given for the camp fee, minus the deposit, up until two weeks prior to arrival. There is no fee reduction for late arrivals.
