Meet Our Day Camp Team: Ana Vidal
Ana Vidal, one of the Sage YMCA’s Day Camp Counselors, is from McHenry, Illinois, and is an incoming junior at Michigan State University studying Elementary Education! After graduation, Ana hopes to teach abroad. This summer at the Y, Ana is excited to learn new tips and strategies for working with kids!
Q: Why did you choose to become a Counselor for the Y?
A: I wanted to get more experience with kids outside of the classroom. Plus my cousin and sister enjoy working here!
Q: What do you like most about the work that the Y does?
A: I like all the different kinds of activities [that they do]!
Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out?
A: I used to be a percussionist for seven years!
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be (and why)?
A: Teleportation, so I can go visit family members.
Q: What’s the last song you listened to?
A: “Very First Confession” by Lee Mujin.
Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list?
A: To go to South Korea.
Q: Anything else you want to share with us? We love random tidbits and facts!
A: I have 4 dogs!
