    Classes come to life on the shores of Echo Lake and across our 200 acres of forest trails. We welcome educational groups throughout the year, and we’re always happy to teach students about responsible choices, caring for others, and respecting the environment.     Interested in getting away from the hustle and bustle? Looking for a unique team bonding experience beyond the usual ice breaker games? YMCA Camp Pinewood offers any group — from office retreats to scout troops — a variety of team building activities that foster leadership, trust, communication, and listening skills.     YMCA Camp Pinewood would be honored to host your wedding! Our beautiful grounds, which cover 200 acres and include the scenic Echo Lake, will make an unforgettable backdrop for your special day. With an outdoor chapel, reception facilities that can accommodate 160 people, food service options, and onsite lodging for your guests, you and your loved ones will find everything you need here.

YMCA Camp Pinewood is located at 4230 Obenauf Road, Twin Lake, MI 49457 — in West Michigan, roughly three hours from Chicago by car.

Camp Pinewood’s main lodge is typically open:

  • Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Please note that summer is a very busy season and we may not be in the office at all times.

Our History

From its founding in 1925, YMCA Camp Pinewood has strived to provide youth an unforgettable outdoor experience and offer a different perspective and cultural experience from their day-to-day lives. For nearly a century, we have continued to evolve and change based on community needs. Most recently, Camp Pinewood has expanded its capacity and is now a family camp — a place to improve quality of life for individuals, families and groups of all ages by providing enrichment, teaching life skills, and promoting wellness of spirit, mind, and body.

Facilities & Accommodations

YMCA Camp Pinewood is here to be your home-away-from-home! We offer accommodations that range from rustic to deluxe. We have something for everyone, whether you’re looking for bunkhouses, a full, lodge-style cabin, or even a yurt! Our dining hall serves three well-balanced meals each day — vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available — and our Camp Store has anything you may have left behind.
