Located in North Lawndale, Chicago, the North Lawndale Y takes great pride in serving our neighbors and families who work in the area. Our enrollment process is available year-round, provided there are openings! To register, schedule a tour, or learn more about our programs, please fill out the Early Learning Inquiry Form, linked below.
Be sure to select the following:
- Early Learning, Care, and Preschool Location: “North Lawndale YMCA (North Lawndale) | 6 weeks - 12 years old”
- Age of Child: “Rauner Family YMCA and North Lawndale YMCA only (2-12 years old)”
Caring for Children Beyond the Classroom
From homework help and social emotional support to recess, our team brings a sense of play to every offering. At the North Lawndale YMCA, we offer Before and After School Care for youth ages 5 to 12. Think of us as an extension of the progress students make at home and school. We empower youth to continue their growth and development, even outside of the classroom!

We’re Supported, You Should Be Too
The Power of Play is not reserved for those with time and resources to spare. It’s something we believe all youth and all families should experience. That’s why the Y accepts Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) Funds. To qualify, the applicant must:
- Live in Illinois
- Be employed at and/or attend an eligible educational activity (high school, trade school, college, etc.)
- Have children age 12 or younger that need care while you are working or going to school
- Have an eligible family income, as determined by Illinois income guidelines
