YMCA of Metro Chicago Presents: Flexible Drop-In Child Care

When you need care, the Y is here!  

Child care needs don’t always come on a strict schedule. Whether life brings you work meetings, appointments, or other commitments, the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is here to lend a hand! 

We recently introduced drop-in child care at five of our onsite licensed child care locations and one of our preschool enrichment program locations for families with dynamic schedules. Families can now purchase a pack of 6 or 12 day passes to use as needed.  

Day passes give your family access to top-notch, attentive care from our highly qualified caregivers. Carry on with your day knowing that your child is engaging in a fun and engaging play-based curriculum and making new friends, all in a clean and well-equipped environment. Plus, all meals and snacks are included with your day pass! 

Getting started is easy! Fill out our interest form and someone from our team will reach out to you about the next steps. We offer full-day programs at the Crown Family YMCA, Fry Family YMCA, Indian Boundary YMCA, and Sage YMCA, as well as a part-day program at the Lake View YMCA.  

Once you’ve purchased your day passes, just contact your site director at least one week in advance to schedule your youth’s drop-in day. Need last minute care? We know that emergencies don’t happen on a schedule — that’s why two passes per year can be scheduled within 48 hours in advance. Availability may be impacted by staff and DCFS ratios.
