YMCA at 2024 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is proud to partner with Susan G. Komen® for the 2024 Komen Race for the Cure!
Not only are we organizing a group of race participants, but we’re also tabling and volunteering at the event. Together, we are playing a part in helping to end breast cancer.
Join us on Saturday, September 28, at Soldier Field’s South Lot and feel the presence of our ONE community supporting those who need help today while searching for tomorrow’s cures. Doors open at 7 a.m.
YMCA community members can participate in three ways:
- Join the Race for the Cure with Team YMCA: Run or walk — just get moving! Race participants are required to help fundraise for the event and pay a $40.50 registration fee (that’s 10% off the cost of regular registration!). Team Y members will receive a limited-edition YMCA t-shirt to wear on race day.
- Volunteer at the Susan G. Komen® Event: See the whole picture by volunteering your time and energy toward the event as a whole!
- Volunteer at the YMCA’s Booth at the Event: Spread your enthusiasm for the Y by helping out at our booth, where we’ll share information about our mission, opportunities, and offerings.
