The Irving Park YMCA Community Health and Wellness Resource Fair Was a Huge Success
The Irving Park YMCA hosted a fun and informative Community Health and Wellness Resource Fair earlier this month!
Thank you to everyone who joined us at this free event, open to the entire Irving Park community. We had a fantastic turnout, with fifteen local businesses and organizations coming together to provide valuable resources and support. Event attendees had the opportunity to explore local health and wellbeing providers, engage in fun activities, and connect with neighbors and friends who share their passions.
We would like to give a special shoutout to our friends at Portage Park Target who generously donated snacks to keep our attendees energized! We also appreciate support from Oak Street Health for their delicious coffee and pastries and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center for providing tasty sandwiches. All participating vendors brought along prizes for our Bingo game and shared information about their services to help our community members stay informed about their health and wellbeing options.
Our amazing volunteers from Northwestern Medicine also kept our Bingo game lively and fun, ensuring that everyone had a great time! In addition to Bingo, we hosted two insightful presentations: one from Fyzical Chicago focusing on fall prevention and another one about breast cancer screenings that was led by Dr. Chowhery from Northwestern Medicine.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the businesses and organizations that participated:
