Sankofa Village Wellness Center Groundbreaking

Please join the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago at the Sankofa Village Wellness Center groundbreaking ceremony! 

We’re gathering on Monday, September 16, at 10 a.m. to celebrate and commemorate the groundbreaking of this new community center and YMCA Community Hub. There will be notable speakers, giveaways, and a casual lunch celebration!

In addition to providing comprehensive health care to community members, the Sankofa Village Wellness Center will also serve as the site of the new West Garfield Park YMCA, providing spaces for people to learn, grow, and thrive. The building will offer a cafe, fitness facilities, a gymnasium, and childcare for patrons — plus, programming focused on workforce development, financial education, and more. 

Event attendees who check-in at our booth will be entered into a raffle for one free year of membership to the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago! Please use the registration form below to RSVP for this groundbreaking event. Parking lots are available at 4229 W. Washington Street and 4247 W. Washington Street in addition to street parking.
