Recap: Indian Boundary YMCA Winter Market & Open House
We had a fantastic time earlier this month at the Indian Boundary YMCA’s first ever Winter Market & Open House!
About 200 people joined us at this free community event, which showcased some of Downer Grove’s best offerings. We had 16 local businesses — many of which also participate as vendors during the Indian Boundary Y’s Downtown Downers Grove Market in the summer and fall — in our fieldhouse sharing their products, including baked goods, honey, delicious food, books, and more.
“It was great to see so many of our Downtown Downers Grove summer market vendors participate in our indoor Winter Market fest at [the Indian Boundary YMCA]!” said Ron Anderson, Senior Executive Director, Indian Boundary YMCA. “Our team is excited to see what other new ways we can serve the community this year!”
In addition to bringing a bit of summer joy to January, this event also offered an open house to our Community Hub for visitors and existing members. We offered a bounce house and obstacle course for youth looking to burn energy while parents shopped, and our amazing team provided free tours to newcomers to the Y.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a special shoutout to the local business owners who helped make this event possible! Find more photos of this event via LinkedIn.
