Recap: 2024 Back to School Bash

It’s fall, y’all — and with the autumnal season comes crisp autumn air, changing leaves, and a new school year! 

At the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, we had a great time ushering in back-to-school season and celebrating a successful summer of play with our community in August and September. Together, we welcomed the 2024-25 school year with fun activities, games, food, music, and more for the whole family. Not to mention, we distributed over 5,000 Back2School Kits to students from Pre-K to 12th grade, thanks to our partnership with Back2School America. 

Thank you to all of the families who came out to our Back to School Bash events, hosted at Community Hubs across our Association. Additional thanks to the community partners who came out to celebrate with us and engage with our neighbors.

At the Y, we aspire to serve our communities as a beacon of connection, empowering all people to flourish, make positive choices, and explore exciting ways to have fun. That’s why we’re constantly offering opportunities for growth and hosting activations with our partners.
