Pay It Forward: MLK Day of Service at the Kelly Hall YMCA

Begin the new year with a generous heart by joining us on Monday, January 20, from 12 – 3 p.m., at the Kelly Hall YMCA for our Pay It Forward MLK Day of Service volunteer event hosted in collaboration with the Alpha Beta Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Together, we are mobilizing community members to assemble housing kits for individuals transitioning into housing and blessing bags for those who are unhoused. 

Whether you spend an hour or the entire afternoon, your presence will help bring this vision to life. Volunteers are welcome to come and go as their schedules allow. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete this form.  

Blessing bags include essential items like hats, hand warmers, and hygiene products. Housing kits contain items like detergent, towels, and household necessities to help individuals transition into a home with dignity. These kits depend entirely on the generosity of donations received before and during the event. You can make a difference by contributing items through our blessing bags donation list, our housewarming kits donation list, or by dropping off donations at the Kelly Hall Y prior to the event.
