FREE 8-week financial literacy workshop coming this January

Fry Family YMCA is excited to announce our new partnership with Cents Ability Inc. this coming January! We will be hosting Cents Ability's FREE 8-week financial literacy workshop starting January 8, 2022.

Cents Ability is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to educating and empowering students to achieve their goals through the prudent and informed management of their financial resources. Cents Ability partners with nonprofit organizations to teach eight modules that cover the basics of personal finance. Their volunteer educators are professionals in many fields, largely from the finance sector, that go out and teach students during school days, on evenings, and on weekends.

Topics range from goal setting to credit, stocks, and future financial planning. Covered concepts include the 50/30/20 rule for budgeting, how to create a budget, the dos and don’ts of investing and the stock market, and learning how to ask questions from prospective employers about benefits and 401k options.
