Meet Our Day Camp Team: Aubrey Hall
Aubrey Hall, one of the Elmhurst YMCA’s Day Camp Counselors, grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois and is a recent graduate of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. She will be attending the Georgia Institute of Technology in the fall. Aubrey loves drawing, playing video games, and coding! This summer, she’s looking forward to fun camp games and songs.
Q: Why did you choose to become a Counselor for the Y?
A: I grew up with two younger siblings who I have always loved playing games and spending time with. I became a counselor because I love working with kids and making an impact on their lives, whether it’s big or [small].
Q: What do you like most about the work that the Y does?
A: The Y truly cares about being inclusive and focuses on the social and mental health of their campers.
Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out?
A: I am a competitive figure skater. I have been [skating] since I was eight years old.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be (and why)?
A: I would want to be able to teleport so I could go anywhere I want.
Q: What’s the last song you listened to?
A: “Best Song Ever” by One Direction.
Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list?
A: Going skydiving.
