School May Be Out, But...
Providing Youth with Nutrition-rich Choices
Local Lunchbox connects small, locally owned food businesses with community organizations to provide meals to youth ages 18 and under — and it’s all paid for by the United States Department of Agriculture. Stop by any of our participating YMCA Community Hubs for a delicious and nutritious meal:
- Irving Park YMCA
- Kelly Hall YMCA
- Lake View YMCA
- McCormick YMCA
- Rauner Family YMCA
- South Side YMCA
Local Lunchbox runs on weekdays from Monday, June 10, through Friday, August 16 (with the exception of the Kelly Hall YMCA, which runs from Monday, June 24, through Friday, August 9).

How It Works
Getting a meal at no cost through Local Lunchbox at the Y is easy! Youth can stop by any participating Y Community Hub during service times and pick up breakfast or lunch from Community Concierge staff.
Meals are served on a first-come, first-served basis and must be eaten on-site at the Community Hub. No identification or documentation is required to participate — just show up with an appetite! For more information, please contact your local Community Hub.
