Access Fresh and Delicious Groceries at Low or No Cost
Providing Youth with Nutrition-rich Choices
In partnership with the Obama Foundation, we’re bringing delicious, healthy, and culturally familiar meals to youth and teens at no cost! Local Lunchbox connects small, locally owned food businesses with community organizations to provide meals to youth ages 18 and under — and it’s all paid for by the United States Department of Agriculture.
Stop by any of our participating YMCA Community Hubs on summer weekdays for a delicious and nutritious meal! Our summer 2025 program dates are coming soon.

How Local Lunchbox Works
Getting a meal at no cost through Local Lunchbox at the Y is easy! Youth can stop by any participating Y Community Hub during summer service times and pick up breakfast or lunch from Community Concierge staff.
Meals are served on a first-come, first-served basis and must be eaten on-site at the Community Hub. No identification or documentation is required to participate — just show up with an appetite! For more information, please contact your local Community Hub.
