Mayfair Academy has touched over 25,000 youth in its 60-year legacy on Chicago’s South side.  Its extensive programming exposes youth the cultural arts—from the physical art of dance to the visual art of their surroundings to the performance art at their concerts.  Watch as your child grows physically, mentally and artistically while having fun, achieving grace and developing confidence as a member of the Mayfair Family.

Session dates:  Saturdays, May 4-June 15
Ages 4-7 at 10am   |   Ages 8-12 at 11am
Combination ballet, jazz and hip-hop classes

Saturday combination dance classes for ages 4-12
Highly experienced instructors bring top-notch programming to the South Side YMCA, allowing youth to enjoy the best of all worlds in experiencing this ballet, jazz and hip-hop combination class.  A developmentally-appropriate curriculum introduces students to ballet, the foundation of dance development, while instilling the building blocks of jazz and hip-hop, where students express their creativity and individuality.  This class is perfect for beginners to enhance their capability to excel in all areas of dance. 

A black leotard, flesh tights and jazz or ballet shoes are recommended. 
Students may elect to wear comfortable athletic attire and jazz or ballet shoes, too.
