Could eSports Be Your Child’s Future?

Colleges everywhere are investigating eSports, competitive, online video gaming teams, and they are even offering scholarships. What could competitive eSports offer your child? In 2014, Robert Morris University Illinois launched the first eSports scholarship program after weaving competitive gaming into its collegiate sports program. Since then, over 50 varsity programs have launched in universities and colleges across the U.S., sending athletes to participate in tournaments for global championships. This isn’t just about developing better gamers– it’s about cultivating the potential of all students to help them learn, grow, and thrive!

The following YMCAs are partnering with I Play Games! to offer parent workshops that will present the facts and benefits of eSports. These events are free and open to the community:
