YMCA of Metro Chicago Launches New Digital Experience

The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is excited to share that we launched a new digital experience that makes it easier than ever to be connected with the Y community! 

Connecting fitness memberships, program registration, and child care all in one place, the Y’s upgraded membership and registration system, build on an industry-leading platform called Traction Rec, serves as a one-stop shop to find many of our Y offerings.  

Through our new system, intentionally designed to create a sleek, easy-to-navigate experience, community members will be able to purchase fitness memberships, register for their favorite programs, and acquire guest day passes for Community Hubs.  

With the launch of this new platform, all community members will be required to set up an account to take advantage of their YMCA memberships and/or register for YMCA programs. We have provided an introductory guide to help you get started:

That’s not all! You asked, we answered — the YMCA of Metro Chicago is pleased to introduce our new mobile app, YX. This beautifully designed app offers access to fitness class registration and schedules, reservations for spaces and equipment (varies by Community Hub), Community Hub hours and events, and more! Plus, YX is available for everyone, even if you don’t have a Y fitness membership. Browse your local Hub’s amenities and view upcoming fitness classes as in Guest mode.
