Meet Our Day Camp Team: Alyssa Logsdon
Alyssa Logsdon, one of the Elmhurst YMCA’s Day Camp Counselors, is an Elmhurst-native who loves photography and reading. She will be attending the University of South Carolina in the fall, where she will be studying International Business so that she can travel more!
Q: Why did you choose to become a Counselor for the Y?
A: I loved the camp atmosphere from [a young age] and wanted to give that same experience to more kids.
Q: What do you like most about the work that the Y does?
A: [The Y has] core values that give kids a safe and welcoming space.
Q: What are you most looking forward to this Summer at the Y?
A: I’m looking forward to all the field rips and new experiences for the kids, as well as meeting new counselors.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be (and why)?
A: I’d want super speed to get places faster without gas and [harming the] environment.
Q: What’s the last song you listened to?
A: “You’ll Always Find Your Way Back Home” by Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana)
Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list?
A: Go to every continent.
